Vietnam dream 15 days

This is an invitation to discover the whole of Vietnam. We begin in the capital Hanoi, then we visit the colonial hill station of Sapa where many hill tribes still live. A cruise across one of the world’s greatest natural wonders, Halong Bay, before heading to the Central Highlands, where you will be seduced by Hue and Hoi An. Relax in Nha Trang before discovering the enchanting Mekong Delta.

Day 1 : Arrival in Hanoi (D)

You will be met at the airport. Afternoon cyclo tour of the Old Quarter. Evening meal at a restaurant.

Day 2 : Hanoi / night train to Lao Cai (B, L)


Visit the sights of our capital : Hoan Kiem lake, the Temple of Literature, the One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc and Quan Tanh pagodas and the Museum of Ethnology. Followed by an evening stroll through the 36 streets of the Old Quarter. Take a train in the evening for Lao Cai. Overnight in air-conditioned sleeper train.

Day 3 : Lao Cai / Sapa (B, L, D)

Arrival in Lao Cai. Take the road to Sapa, former colonial hill station. Take a rest or stroll about town. In the afternoon, we head for Lao Chai, a Black H’mong village. Then, following the river, we reach Ta Van. Here you can admire some of the most impressive terraced rice fields in Vietnam.

Day 4 : Sapa / Lao Cai / Hanoi ( B, L , D)

Visit the bustling morning market in Sapa, the church and climb to the top of Mount Ham Rong for a panorama of the surroundings. Afternoon visit to Ta Phi, home of the colourful Red Dzao. Transfer to Lao Cai for the night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.

Day 5 : Hanoi / Halong Bay (B, L, D)

Early arrival in Hanoi, a city already bursting with life. Leave for Halong Bay. Board our junk for an unforgetable journey across the emerald bay. Seafood dinner and overnight on the junk.

Day 6 : Halong / Tam Coc (B, L)


Enjoy a morning cruise across the bay. After lunch, we head to Ninh Binh via Thai Binh and Nam Dinh, the heartland of the Red River Delta. Once in Thai Binh, a slight detour (time permitting) to visit the wooden Keo Pagoda. Arrival in Tam Coc by late afternoon. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 7 : Tam Coc / Hanoi (B,D)

Rise early to take a small boat to discover Tam Coc, travelling through three natural tunnels, carved into the rock by the water. Take the road to Nho Quan, where another boat takes us to the floating village of Kenh Ga, in the center of a region that is completely flooded for many months every year. Visitors are charmed by the tranquility of the place, especially at dusk. Back to Hanoi in the evening.

Day 8 : Hanoi / Hue (B, L)

Morning flight to Hue. Sampan trip on the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda, the mausoleum of Minh Mang and finally the resting place of the Emperor Tu Duc.

Day 9 : Hue / Hoi An (B,L)

Begin your day in the Imperial City of the Nguyen Dynasty by visiting its palaces and dynastic temples by cyclo. In the afternoon, we head for Hoi An, through the Pass in the Clouds. Visit the impressive museum dedicated to the Cham civilisation in Danang.

Day 10 : Hoi An (B,L)

In the morning, discover old Hoi An, which is a Unesco World Heritage Site : traditional houses, the Japanese bridge, the narrow streets and silk workshops. In the afternoon ride a bike, or take a cyclo, through the streets towards the small fishing harbour. Take a boat out into the harbour to watch the local fishermen at work.

Day 11 : Hoi An / My Son / Nha Trang (B)


In the morning, discover the World Heritage Site that is the Cham site at My Son, the ancient capital of the Cham civilisation between the VII and XII centuries. Lunch in Danang then flight to Nha Trang. Check in to the hotel and enjoy the late afternoon on the beach.

Day 12 : Nha Trang (B)

Cruise to Hun Mun, and Hon Tam, and its famous beaches where you are free to swim or sunbathe on the sand. Back to town for lunch. Free time in the afternoon.

Day 13 : Nha Trang / Ho Chi Minh city / Can Tho (B,L)

Morning flight from Cam Ranh to Ho Chi Minh City and a direct drive to Can Tho.

Day 14 : Can Tho / Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)


We must rise early to make it to the extraordinary floating market of Ca Rang. Then we head to rich orchards for a chance to taste some of the local produce. After lunch, we head back to HCMC.

Day 15 : Departure from Ho Chi Minh City

A morning tour of the main sights with a colonial flavour : the cathedral, the post office and Catinat St. China town (Cho Lon) is more than a colourful distraction. Visit the Pagoda of Thien Hau and Binh Tay market. Free time to stroll around until the transfer to the airport. (B’fast)
