Trek to the summit of Mt Fansipan 3 days

At 3,143m, Mt Fansipan is the highest peak in SE Asia. The summit is a very achievable day and a half trek from Sapa. We spend 2 nights, sleeping in tents, at a base camp at 2,300m in the middle of the forest of Hoang Lien.
Day 1: Sapa/Fansipan
Leaving your hotel at 9 am, the trek begins through terraced rice paddies and ethnic villages. You will come across the H’Mong, instantly recognizable in their indigo costumes. We continue along narrow paths, across many streams until we stop for lunch at 1,700m. After lunch we continue our climb to 2,300 where we pitch our tents and establish a base camp. Dinner and night in a tent as the base camp. (Lunch, Din)
Day 2: Fansipan
We head straight for the summit, the highest peak in Indochina at over 3,000m. Our path to the top of the mountain cuts through primeval forests and bamboo thickets. Not without some effort, we reach the peak, at 3,143m, from where you can survey China to the North, Laos and the mountain range of Dien Bien Phu to the West. Now you deserve to spend time basking in the rewards of your effort. Later in the afternoon, we head back to base camp for dinner. Overnight in the camp. (B’fast, Lunch, Din)
Day 3: Fansipan/Sapa
After breakfast, we slowly make our way back down to Sapa, enjoying the countryside around us. We arrive in Sapa around noon. (B’fast)
