Trek around Mai Chau - 3 days

This short trek around Mai Chau takes you through some spectacular scenery and gives you the opportunity to stay with two local ethnic minority groups; the H’Mong and the White Thai. You are invited to experience their way of life and cultures.
Day 1 : Hanoi / Mai Chau / Hang Kia village
We leave Hanoi in the morning for Mai Chau, through Noa Binh province. Lunch in Mai chau and transfer to the village of Sa Linh where we begin our trek towards the H’Mong village of Hang Kia. Our presence is sure to arouse the curiosity of the locals. Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse at the heart of the H’mong community. (Lunch, Din)
Day 2 : Village of Hang Kia / Poong Cong village
The trek continues a further 14km to the village of Poong Cong, at some altitude. Stunning panoramas along the way: of the lush green baize of rice paddies. Arrival around noon at the village of Poong Cong, and a warm welcome by the White Thai minority to their village. Lunch. We spend the afternoon discovering a rustic way of life and how the Thai women weave their colourful clothes. Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse: a traditional wooden house on stilts, at the heart of the Thai community. (B’fast, Lunch, Din)
Day 3 : Poong Cong village / Hanoi
Short trek around the village, before the return journey to Hanoi along pleasant country roads. Transfer to your hotel in Hanoi. (B’fast, Lunch)
